I am officially terrible at trying to keep a blog, but onward! A miniature dodo bird made for a birthday gift months ago (near the end of last year to be more accurate).

Latest completed commission; meet Max, a dapper black German Shepherd.
This was very interesting to sculpt, what with the prospect of making a garment and the details that go along with it. The commissioner provided reference images of said jacket and asked if Max could be sporting it, which I did my best to make happen. Extremely fun but definitely a new experience trying to sculpt 'fabric'.
Commissioned as a gift, made from Sculpey + acrylic paint.

I little while ago I was commissioned to make a sculpture for a surprise birthday gift.
Specifically it was to be a red panda, which I think is safe to say one of the cutest critters alive. It features a personal message painted in gold lettering on the back, addressing the lucky birthday girl. Thankfully it safely made its way to the recipient over in San Diego!

Yesterday I was happy to drop off my panther sculpt to its new owner, Jaysin Burgess, one of the many talented tattooists of Northside Tattooz.
He is a painter as well as a tattoo artist, thus his appreciation for odd little handmade figurines! Definitely a shop worth visiting if one ever finds themselves in the Newcastle area, looking for a tattoo.
